Account

Manage your personal account settings.

Your account settings control your personal profile and preferences within CodeWall.

Account details

Update your personal information:

  • Name — your display name across the platform
  • Email — used for login and notifications

Password

Change your password from the account settings page. If your organization uses SSO, password management may be handled by your identity provider.

MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication)

Enable MFA for additional security on your account. CodeWall supports TOTP-based MFA with authenticator apps like Google Authenticator, Authy, or 1Password.

Setting up MFA

  1. Go to Settings > Account
  2. Click Enable MFA
  3. Scan the QR code with your authenticator app
  4. Enter the 6-digit verification code from your app to confirm
  5. Save your 8 recovery codes in a secure location — these are one-time-use codes for regaining access if you lose your authenticator

Recovery codes

When you enable MFA, you receive 8 recovery codes. Each code can only be used once. If you lose access to your authenticator app, use a recovery code to sign in and then reset your MFA.

Resetting MFA

To switch to a new authenticator device:

  1. Go to Settings > Account
  2. Click Reset MFA
  3. Enter your password to confirm
  4. Set up MFA again with your new device

MFA is not available for SSO users. If your organization uses SSO, multi-factor authentication is managed by your identity provider.
